If you've been waiting for a reason to taste Morara in person before buying online — this is it.
On Saturday 18 July 2026, Morara Winery is pouring at An Evening of Taste, Darkness & Impact, a charity gala hosted by Dreamers & Founders in partnership with the Mpumalanga Blind Skills Development Hub (MBSDH) — the proceeds support the Hub's work with visually impaired South Africans across the province.
The evening
- Blind wine tasting — the room goes dark, the glasses get poured, you taste without the bottle to lean on
- Three-course dinner in the dark — a deliberate sensory rearrangement, the way the MBSDH community navigates daily life
- Live music and dancing when the lights return
- A live auction in support of the Hub

Why we're there
Three reasons. First, the Hub's work matters — visual impairment in South Africa is under-supported and the MBSDH is doing the steady, unglamorous work of changing that. Second, a blind wine tasting is the perfect environment for Morara's wines, because the room is judging the liquid, not the label. Third, Nelspruit is close enough to Secunda that there's no reason not to show up.
Portia will be pouring. Come find her. If you'd like a Morara bottle to take home from the evening, mention it at our table.
